The other day I fell and thought I broke my ankle. As I laid in the grass trying to decide if I could get up on my own or not I called you and asked if you could come home and take me to the ER. I felt terrible because your out in the field this week and your the man in charge but at the time I honestly thought I had a broken ankle. Thank you for making it the funnest ER trip to date. Thank you for wheeling me around in the wheelchair and not running me into things, thank you for the Starbucks while we waited. Love your face!

Dear Husband,

This morning we took our sweet baby girl to her first day of Kindergarten. Remember when she was so tiny and had that perfect little heart on her lips, I used to say it was because she was made with lots of love. Our baby girl is growing up and there's nothing we can do about it. There is no other person I would rather share such beautiful children with than you. I love you to the moon.

52. I've recently discovered that I actually like running.
53. I usually listen to 3OH!3 while doing said running.
54. I prefer Target over Walmart.
55. I find pedicures almost unbearable sometimes because my feet are so ticklish.
56. I want to one day be a roller derby girl. Seriously.
57. I dye my hair black, it's naturally brownish.
58. I love Chi Lattes from Starbucks.
59. I'm currently reading 90 minutes in Heaven.
60. Have I mentioned my love for peanut butter? ;)
61. I wish I had long curly hair.
62. I lose my keys allot.
63. I love watching Friday Night Lights every Friday night. I'm sad that the season is over.
64. Even though I'm from Texas, it really doesn't feel like my home anymore.
65. I love that we get to move all over every few years, it's an adventure.
66. I am terrible at making pancakes. The red headed fox makes them so much better than I do.
67. My first real job was at a steak house.
68. I am so thankful that I am able to be a SAHM.

August is finally here! I didn't do too hot on my July goals. July was a busy month for me with a two week visit from my youngest brother, a visit to Gulf Shores, Alabama and trying to spend as much time with Kaylee as I can before she goes off to kindergarten next week. So here's last months goals and how I did....

1. Finish up 30 days of love notes to the husband
2. Cut out all fast food
3. Journal daily
~~4. Register for fall classes~~
5. Lose 5 lbs.
~~6. Blog more~~

My August goals will hopefully be a little easier to accomplish since things are starting to settle down around here....

1. Finish up 30 days of love notes to the husband
2. No fast food
3. Organize all of my craft supplies
4. Revamp our dining room table
5. Lose 5 lbs.
6. Read at least two more books before classes start and I don't have time

101 Things About Me!!

I recently saw this over at Lunie Bin and thought it would be fun, however I don't really think I'm that interesting so coming up with 101 things may be a bit difficult. We'll see how it goes...

There were only 8 of us in my graduating class, crazy huh?
I moved out of my mom's house on my 18th birthday so I could take care of my great grandfather who had Alzheimer's disease.
When I was pregnant with Harper I ate peanut butter straight from the jar.....often. I'm still tempted to do it sometimes.
I have had 7 different cars since I was 16, I am now 27.
I like to read.....allot. {Nerd Alert!!}
The first thing I ever learned to sew was a potholder. My great grandma taught me.
I only have a couple of close girl friends.
It takes allot for me to trust someone.
I met & married the red headed fox all within 6 weeks and it was the best decision ever. Our love story can be found here.
I have quiet a few siblings, 1 brother, 1 half brother, 2 step sisters and 2 adopted sisters.
I am the oldest of them all.
I'm not a big fan of milk, unless peanut butter is involved.
I get annoyed very easily.
I used to get up and go to my great grandparents house almost every morning before school so I could have breakfast with my great grandfather.
Turning 30 freaks me out a little, thank goodness I still have a few years.
Having a kid that starts school this year freaks me out too, why does the time have to pass so quickly?
Every summer growing up the whole family would go camping at the river for 11 days and it still remains to be some of the best memories I have of my childhood.
If we named our children after the places they were conceived then Harper would be named Georgia and Kaylee would be named ~~ghetto ass Killeen~~ Pershing. Good thing we didn't.
I carry pink pepper spray on my key chain.
Driving at night makes me anxious.
I love pistachio ice cream.
I have to sleep with the fan on, it freezes the red headed fox out.
No one can make me laugh like the red headed fox.
I think of my brother as one of my best friends, he gets me.
I think I'll always be a daddy's girl.
I could watch Teen Witch over and over and over again.

I have a confession to make....

I have never read To Kill a Mockingbird.

I know, shocking right? Hasn't everyone read that book? Some of you may even be thinking "Wait a minute, isn't your son named Harper Lee?" Well hold on right there. Yes my son's name is Harper Lee, but he wasn't named after the author. He was named after his great great grandfather {Sammie Harper} and his dad {Christopher Lee}. So there you have it, no reading of Harper Lee books for me, that is until yesterday.

The red headed fox and I were laying in bed and I had just finished up Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris (True Blood anyone?) and I was looking at my stack of books I keep on the bed headboard. I picked up To Kill a Mockingbird and flipped through it but didn't really give it the attention it deserved. I mean come on, I had just finished a Vampire/Werewolf masterpiece (ok, lets be real, that last book wasn't near as good as I had hoped) but still. When I went to put it back in the stack the red headed fox looked over to me and said "Is that To Kill a Mockingbird? That's a great book, GREAT book" nodded his head and went back to what he was doing. Excuse me?!? You mean to tell me that the red headed fox (who doesn't read near as much as I do if ever) has read To Kill a Mockingbird and I haven't? Well, you all know I had to read it then.

It started two days ago with crazy itchy ears. You know what I'm talking about, that way down deep itch in your ear that you can't quiet get to. Then yesterday I started getting a sore throat and today it's full on body/head aches, sore throat, itchy ears, crazy stopped up nose. All this in the middle of JULY!?!? So today I have been taking Theraflu and trying to take it easy (with the exception of taking the kids to the movies and to the red headed fox's championship softball game which they WON!), who am I kidding there is no taking it easy with two little ones running around. Hopefully I can kick whatever it is that I have and get back to my normal self in a few days but until then I hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week.

Over the weekend I was given two different blog awards by two very lovely ladies. The first one is the "Blog Buddies Award" from Gina, if you haven't checked out her blog then you really should. She's awesome! :)

The second award is "The Versatile Blogger" award from the fabulous Courtney. She's another one that you should really check out if you haven't already. The rules for this one is to first thank the person who passed it on to you (Thank you Courtney!!) and list seven things about yourself.

1. I grew up in a small town in Texas and by small town I mean itsy bitsy. My graduating class only consisted of eight people.
2. I love hot apple cider any time of the year.
3. I am really shy around people I don't know.
4. I love to read. I can get lost in a book for hours.
5. I only use Gain detergent. The smell of it reminds me of my childhood and my grandmother.
6. I love to craft any and everything but haven't had near as much time for it lately as I would like.
7. With the exception of Canada, I've never been out of the country.

Junie B. Jones & Thrifting

I haven't posted any thrift love in a loooong while. I found this vintage blanket a few days ago and instantly fell in love with it. When I first spotted it I was a little bummed because it said it was a full size, I decided to buy it anyways. Once I had it at home I discovered that it's a queen size and fits our bed perfectly! (Excuse the bad web cam photo.) I'll post some more of my awesome thrift finds later on this week.

I've been dreaming of the day when I could read more than just picture books to Kaylee and that day has finally come. I've been collecting Junie B. Jones books for the past year or so and Kaylee and I curled up on my bed last night and read the first of many. Last night we read Junie B. Jones is a Party Animal.....

and tonight we started Junie B. Jones is a Beauty Shop Guy.

These books are so cute and fun! Kaylee thinks they are hilarious and I think they are adorable!

I've been wanting to watch all of Marilyn Monroe's movies for a while now. I've watched a handful of them and loved them all, my favorite being "Some Like it Hot". So today while the red headed fox (or athletic dragon as he's been referring to himself lately) is away playing in a softball tournament and the little ones are napping I will happily be watching "Gentleman Prefer Blondes" and working on a quilt.

Be Still My Heart....

Today my sweet baby girl turned FIVE! When did that happen? Where has the time gone? We had her birthday party on Saturday and can you believe I didn't get one single picture? It's not like she would have stood still for one anyways, she was too busy playing with her little friends and being the social butterfly that she is. I did manage to squeeze one out of her today though.

She's beautiful, funny, smart and clumsy. She's awkward, curious, amazing and imaginative. She's everything I could have ever hoped and dreamed for.

I just finished watching Fantastic Mr. Fox with my little man. He loved it and I thought it was pretty cute too!

My mother in law will be flying in tonight for Kaylee's birthday party on Saturday and we couldn't be more excited! The little ones love when their Meme comes to visit. I am so in love with the whole process of art journaling and know that I will continue to do it even after the class is done. Oh and you'll notice that some of the pages are smaller than others, I ran out of pages in my original book so I had to get another. :)

Craft Swap & Quilting

This morning while out shopping for my happy mail partners I came across this beautiful quilting pack and couldn't pass it up. I love everything about it, the colors, the patterns everything. So of course I bought it and plan on starting it possibly tonight while the red headed fox is out playing softball. This will be my first attempt at quilting so if anyone has any tips or advice I would appreciate it!

Good Morning Monday...

It's raining out and all I want to do is go back to bed. But with two little ones who are bright eyed and ready for the day I don't think that's possible. This past weekend was spent doing not much of anything. The red headed fox had a softball tournament on Saturday so the kids and I spent the day at home. It was too hot to have them out at the ball park all day and into the night. Sunday was spent mostly outside visiting with our neighbors and letting the kids play in the water. I also took Kaylee's birthday photos and ordered her party invites last night. I'm really just in awe of her and how fast she is growing up.

I'll be back later with some craft swap goodness! I am so happy that I was able to be a part of it, it was so much fun and there were so many talented ladies involved!

Today I have a ton of things I would like to do. I have the usual like cleaning and chasing after the little ones, but I am also wanting to move Kaylee & Harper's rooms back together. They have been asking for a week now to share rooms again and we could use the extra space (I could have my own craft room instead of taking part of our dining room!). Plus it just makes sense, they always play in Kaylee's room and Harper only uses his room to sleep in. So sharing a room it is! I've been dreaming all week of lovely little rooms with bunkbeds......

I've also fallen behind in the "Tell Your Story" art journal class and would like to catch up some while the little ones are napping. This past week the weather has been so nice out that we've spent allot of time outside in the pool or just hanging out with our lovely neighbors that I haven't had the time other than late at night to get it done. So today I plan to get at least one page done, possibly two! :)

My Weekend {Unplugged}

This past weekend I spent unplugged from the internet (except a quick email check here and there). My Google reader is out of control and I need to register for my next set of classes which will all be taken care of later today. I also spent the weekend making this cute little skirt for Kaylee's upcoming birthday. We had originally wanted to find some Hello Kitty fabric for it since that's her party theme, but we didn't find anything that suited us, so she picked this fabric out. She looks absolutely adorable in it and I can't wait to post her birthday photos! I can't believe my baby girl will be five this month! She is growing up way too fast!

I've been in a funk lately, and an emotional one at that.

April was and will always be a hard month for me and for my family. It marks my step-sister Ashley's birthday and her Angelversary, this year we are at 11 years without her and it still feels like yesterday at times and others it feels like a forever ago. I know I cannot change what happened to her and I have to keep moving forward, but I miss her more than any words could ever say.

Now that April is over I'm looking forward to a much happier month, a month filled with family outings, softball and fun in the water. I have Art journal pages to upload and will be posting them later on today. Hope everyone's day is off to a great start!

Humpty Dumpty

***Warning---There will be a photo at the end of this post that is kind of gross, so if you have a weak stomach you may not want to look. It really doesn't look too bad, but I thought I would warn you first.

Last night while I was in the kitchen finishing up this amazing recipe from my good friend Ashley, I was startled with crying and it wasn't the oh I think I'm hurt please kiss my boo boo cry, it was the holy shit I just hurt myself really bad cry. Apparently Harper thought he was strong like the Hulk and tried to pick Kaylee up, he then fell backwards and hit his head on our dog's kennel giving him one nasty gash on the back of his head. I freaked out and couldn't see past the blood and the crying child, luckily the red headed fox was here and busted into action putting his good combat medic skills to use. We managed to get the bleeding under control and loaded everyone up for the ER. Let me just say that the daily goings on in this house is like a wrestling match, they are siblings and think it is appropriate to fight about everything, last night Kaylee was so worried about her brother that she was scrambling around the house like a mad woman trying to find her flip flops. She couldn't even think straight so I guess that means she really does love her little brother despite what she may say on occasion. While we were waiting in the ER Harper told us he would really like strawberry ice cream for dinner, so when it came time for the red headed fox to take him back and get looked at Kaylee and I headed to the shoppette to get him some ice cream then I get this message:

"Harp just said he was Humpty Dumpty and Kaylee is the wall. No bs."

While waiting for the Dr. to look at him that is what he told his dad. haha! At least my baby still has a sense of humor hurt or not. When it was all said and done, he came away with 3 staples in the back of his head, a popsicle, stickers and a prescription for one large chocolate ice cream. When we made it back home he sat down at the table and waited for his dinner of chocolate and strawberry ice cream.

He's feeling pretty good this morning, he's calling himself the "Iron Man" because he has the staples and he says his head isn't hurting. He doesn't seem to like me putting the medicine on it though.

Happy Mail & Art Journaling

Yesterday I received a lovely happy mail package from my happy mail partner this month Jaymi. I absolutely adore everything that was in it!!

She also sent some of her adorable earrings that she makes (LOVE them!) and a pennant for Kaylee that isn't pictured because she couldn't wait to hang it up in her room and this adorable little print. I will be framing him very soon and he will have a nice little home in Harper's room.

The announcement I promised days ago......

Ok, so I know I posted two days ago that I would have a small announcement and then I never made it. I had every intention to come back later in the day and make it, but I was sidetracked and then yesterday was spent away (for the most part) from the computer. So here goes.........I have opened my very own Etsy shop!! I only have 3 things in there right now because I was trying to get the feel of it all, but if everything goes right I should have much more in there this time next week! I'm sure I'll post about it once it's all up and running!!

In other news, I took my last final of the semester yesterday!! I am so glad this semester is over! I've been going back to school for a little over a year now, but up until this semester the red headed fox was deployed and I never took more than one class at a time. I felt like I would get overwhelmed taking care of two kids by myself, all the day to day things that go on and school, but this semester I sucked it up and took 3 classes and managed to pass them all with time to spare! It wasn't easy but I did it and I'm so proud of myself. I'm also so happy to be taking a break from school for the summer!!

The "Tell Your Story" art journal class also started this week so I'm going to be sharing a few of my pages soon! I am loving this class and it's really making me think outside the box!

Oh and a little webcam fun for you this morning. Harper likes to see mommy make silly faces on the computer.......

and sometimes he plays along. :)

Weekend in Review...

We had a wonderful weekend! Friday night was game night at our close friends house. Game night is always tons'o'fun! We didn't do much on Saturday, it was raining most of the day so we stayed home except a quick run to the shoppette (or convenience store for all you non military people). It was raining but it was still warm out so we let the kids play in the rain and boy did they have a blast!

We spent most of Sunday outside because it was such a beautiful day! We went walking, hit some softballs at the softball fields, played in the water and just had a nice little day of family fun.

My first skirt ever!

Ok so that's a lie. I've made skirts before or tried to make them but they always fit funny. I'm not one for patterns and prefer to just free hand it all, then I came across this tutorial and my skirt making luck changed! I am in love!!!

It's getting closer and closer to summer time and I love me some summer dresses and skirts so I have a feeling I will be making quiet a few of these for myself and Kaylee. I do wish that I had used wider elastic, but I just used what I had on hand, I also omitted the pockets but will be adding them in the next one.

I used part of a vintage sheet that I found not too long ago on a thrifting adventure. The sheet didn't fit any of our beds and I am so in love with the floral print I couldn't not use it. Now I'm off to make Kaylee a skirt. :)

What I've been up to today.....

The other day I went thrifting with the little ones to pass some time and I found a dress. A dress that I wasn't sure if I liked, but ended up getting it anyways. I figured if I didn't like it as a dress then I could just use the material for something else. I bought it and brought it home only to find it fit perfectly everywhere but my "girls". At first I was pretty bummed but I hung it up on my curtain rod so I could think about what I could do to make it fit. I finally decided to turn it into a tank dress and that's what I've been doing this morning. I am so in love with how it turned out and I can't wait to find another dress to do the same with.

What I did--- First I cut the top off, then sewed the tank on (it was a useless tank that I had bought last summer and it was shorter than I like), I chopped off about 5 or so inches in the length and hemmed the skirt. I also added fabric flowers made out of the fabric I cut from the bottom.

Oh and I just realized the before pic is the back of the dress, but you get the general idea. :)

Total cost of this tank dress -- $8.50, you can't beat that can you?

Now I'm off to do my last assignment for the semester and study for a final! Happy Wednesday!!

Art Journals, Happy Mail and Formspring

After I made my first art journal pages for the "Tell your story" class, Kaylee quickly let me know that she wanted her own art journal, so like any crafty momma I made her one.

It's small and it fits her perfectly, she has been filling the pages with her own little drawings and I love watching her sit on the couch concentrating on whatever it is she is trying to draw.

I also received a little happy mail this week! I got a lovely handmade card from my happy mail partner Jaymi (I'm loving the matryoshka tape), a Marilyn Monroe note pad from Gina and a few more Thailand goodies from my sister Samantha.

I've also been hard at work getting Jaymi and Gina's happy mail packages ready to send out.

Last, I will leave you with a formspring question someone asked me last week.

Is your life what you thought it would be when you were younger?

Not at all! It is so much more than I ever imagined. Growing up I thought I would always live in the small town I grew up in married to what was then my high school sweetheart (I use that term loosely, it was a very unhealthy relationship and he is far from sweet) and just live the small town life that I had always known. Thankfully after high school I moved away from my hometown to go to school and found a different way of life that I absolutely fell in love with. In doing so I was able to meet some amazing people along the way and my red headed fox. Now I'm happily married with two little ones and have a handful of friends that I wouldn't trade for the world. I feel as though I am right where I'm supposed to be. :)

Weekend in Review...

This past weekend went by way to fast, but was filled with tons of family time and FUN! On Saturday we went to the "Month of the Military Child" festival here on post. We went a little after it started because we knew it would get crazy the later we waited. I'm so glad we went when we did because the little ones were able to go to every booth, ride the rides and bounce in the bounce houses without having to stand around waiting in line, which if you have little ones you know that they can get very impatient. Oh and the best part was everything at the festival was completely free to the kids! Oh and lunch was included too!

A few snapshots from the morning....

When we were done at the festival the kids were exhausted so they went home to nap and I ran to the grocery store. After groceries Kaylee and I went to JoAnn's to pick up a few card making supplies and no sooner than we walked in the door, one of the ladies that works there was doing a shirt painting demo and called us over and painted Kaylee a shirt. Kaylee told me it was her "best day ever!" We grabbed some Sonic for dinner and had a little picnic in our front yard. After dinner the kids played around with chalk and then made a new little neighbor friend. It was a wonderful day!

Sunday was pretty lazy, we cleaned most of the morning and played outside. Later in the evening the red headed fox took the kids to the soccer field to play around and I was able to do a little studying, although facebook kept getting in the way! haha!

Thrift {LOVE}

A few finds from our thrifting last Saturday....

If I'm not mistaken my dad had a lunch box like this that he took to work when I was little, I couldn't pass it up and it's in wonderful condition! Not even a scratch on it.

A few weeks back I found this exact thermos at a different thrift store and ended up passing on it, but this time around I didn't resist. I love it!

Everytime we go to a thrift store, Kaylee gets so excited and has to look at everything. She oooohs and ahhhhhs and tells me how beautiful everything is and normally she gets to pick something out. Here's what she picked out this time, I'm not sure what we will do with them, but they are lovely.

I also scored big in the vintage sheet department. I have been looking for vintage sheets/fabric for forever it seems and never find what I'm looking for, but last weekend I found two different ones! The first one being the sheet photographed with the previous finds and then this one, I love them both so much and everytime I walk into my bedroom and see them it makes me smile.

I scored a few more sweet finds but they are for other people who happen to read this blog, so I'll keep them to myself. :)

My daughters hoarding & blog awards

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning. Like OCD cleaning. It started in Kaylee's room and moved all throughout the house. How is it that one little four year old girl can accumulate so much trash and hide it under her bed? She even got upset, and by upset I mean huge alligator tears and talking jibberish upset, because I wanted to throw the trash that was under her bed away. What was she saving it for? I found pieces of ripped up paper, fruit snack wrappers, and a raisin box. What on earth was she planning to do with it all? Then after all the cleaning I started studying for my Computer App. final that I had today, so needless to say most of yesterday was spent away from the information super highway. Last night I checked my email and saw that I was nominated for a couple of blog awards (YAY!), so here they are....

I've already done the nominations the first time around for this one, but I didn't know about the 7 interesting facts, so here you go....

When I was in school I was a cheerleader from 6th grade up until I graduated. Back then cheerleading was my thang. :)
I knew my husband roughly 6 weeks before I married him, here we are 7 years later and I would do it all over again.
When I was little (not really sure the exact age), my mom was talking to me in the car and I climbed out of my carseat while she was driving and told her "I'll give you a quarter if you shut up". After all these years she still laughs every time it's brought up.
I rarely paint my fingernails. I've been trying to more often, but more times than not I have zero polish on them.
When I was pregnant with Harper I craved peanut butter constantly. So much that I would just eat it right out of the jar. LOL!
Speaking of Harper, lots of people seem to think I named him after the author Harper Lee, but I didn't. The name Harper comes from my great grandparents, it was their last name. I loved them so much and when I found out we were having a boy Harper seemed to fit perfectly. Lee comes from the red headed fox, it's his middle name. So no, I did not name my Harper Lee after the author. :)
I'm a very anxious person. I have learned to control it more over the last year, but at times it still gets to me.

Is this not the cutest little note pad ever? Don't even get me started on the postcards! I LOVE them!! I received these today from Becky over at Strumpet's Crumpet's and it made my day! Thank you Becky!!

Then the red headed fox came home and asked if I planned on getting all of the mail today or just part of it. I was confused because I had thought that I had gotten all of it, but nope there was a package I missed and in it was this....

About a month or so ago my sister Samantha (who is in the Air Force) went to Thailand for a couple of weeks and while she was there she got me this fan. The colors are amazing and it's beautifully hand painted, I'm not exactly sure where we will hang this up just yet, but I am excited to get it up on the wall.

Thank you Samantha!! You truly are the best sister a girl could ask for, I love and miss you so much!

Our own little city.....Finished!

It took us a few days, but we have finally finished our little city! I was going to keep it in our living room, but the kids have taken it over and have been playing with it non stop in Kaylee's room.

And yes, I do realize there is a house on top of trees and houses on top of houses, but when your dealing with a 3 & 4 year old it doesn't really matter to them. haha! The kids had so much fun painting and creating their little city, at one point Harper had red paint all over his face, arms & legs. Kaylee already has plans to make a castle next time.

Our own little city

A little while back I came across Alisa Burke. I immediately fell in love with her work and her love for making beautiful art out of recycled things. She has inspired me to look at everything I throw out differently and it has been a fun journey seeing what I can make out of things we would have normally gotten rid of. For the past couple of weeks we have been saving food boxes so we can make a recycled city scape. I am so excited to get started on this project with the little ones and I have the perfect place to display it when it's all done!

Once I am done with this semester of school (only a few more weeks!! YAY!) I will be taking the summer off and plan on doing a few more of Alisa's tutorials she has posted on her blog. This lady is seriously amazing! If you haven't checked her out you really should!

Random pieces of me today....

I took my Business English final today. Thankfully I passed, I didn't have much time to study so I was a little bit worried. I am sooooo so happy to be done with that class. Now I just have two more finals to go and I'll be finished for the semester!
I'm really not liking pollen right now. It is everywhere around here and what used to be my green jeep is now a gross yellow color. I was pulled over for a random inspection (I live on an Army post) and the guard even asked me what the color was supposed to be. Sure I could wash it, but until this pollen slows down there really isn't much of a point.

I went to the grocery store today childless! I haven't done that in forever!
I love watermelon juice.
I think I like iCarly just as much as Kaylee does.
The red headed fox has softball practice tonight so my plan is to finish up my Computer Applications class. That's the plan at least, if it happens or not is a total different story.
I've recently developed a love for jalapenos.
I sent the rings off for Janel's craft swap today! :)

I recently signed up for this class taught by Elsie & Rachel.....

Class doesn't start until the 26th, but I've done my intro page and am so happy with it. This is the first time I've done any type of art journal at all and I'm stoked to see what it will look like when I'm all finished.

Not to long ago Gina posted this challenging people to put their thinking caps on and find ways to use things you may have thrown out to create a spring/Easter craft. Here is what I came up with.

The fabric flowers are made from scraps of fabric that would have originally been thrown out. The pink fabric under the doily is actually bias tape that I have had since Kaylee was a baby so I re-purposed it and used it for the wreath. This was my first time making this type of fabric flowers, but I really like how they turned out and there are so many cute things you can do with them (for example I'm wearing one in my hair and I have one pinned on my purse, really the possibilities are endless).

Right now my little ones are watching Where the Wild Things Are and they are completely enthralled in it. I've never seen them so into a movie (unless it's Fanboy & Chum Chum or Sponge Bob).

Kaylee's First Crush...

Today Kaylee saw this guy for the first time....

Her eyes widened and she said "Mama, he's so handsome and he has nice hair." Then she tucked her hair behind her ear and listened with a huge smile on her face to him singing "Baby".

I played one of his videos on YouTube for her a little bit later and she just blushed. I think my baby girl has her first little crush.

Do you remember your first crush? Mine was Zach Morris. He was so dreamy! haha!

Craft Swap

I mentioned last week that I am participating in Janel's craft swap and I was making button rings, well 30 rings later I am DONE! It's going to be a little tough to part with these as I have many favorites, but I can always make more. :)

See that one in the middle, it almost didn't make it in with the craft swap rings, I love love love it!!

I've had a few of you ask how to make them so I'll do a mini tutorial on it sometime in the next few days, your not going to believe how easy it is! :)

Hello Monday....

If everything from this point forward goes south today it wouldn't bother me a bit. In the last hour I have had everything I need to make this a great start to a wonderful week.

I woke up to two of the cutest kids in the world crawling in bed with me to cuddle. Once they realized I was awake they whispered secrets in my ear of how much they love me, their dad and each other. They also told me how I'm their bestest friend in the whole wide world.

Once we got up out of bed and Harper was about it get in the bath he told me he had to go potty and did it all by himself, to say I was one happy mama would be an understatement, I was ecstatic! Who ever said that boys are harder to potty train than girls weren't lying! Harper has since said that he wants to go to the big boy potty all day so we will see how it goes. Either way it's a start!

I must confess......

I love the Jersey Shore, like LOOOOOVE it. It's such trash TV but when it was on I couldn't seem to get enough of it. So you can imagine my excitement when I found out there will be a season 2! I even tried to get the red headed fox to get "The Situation" on the back of his softball jersey, but that was an ill fated battle.

Starting early in the morning I will be getting my GTL on (gym, tan & laundry for those of you not familiar with the Jersey Shore lingo). Well I'll be getting my gym on and laundry is a daily thing around here but I'm not to sure about the tanning.
